The park was designed to represent the historical land use, with a structured power station-themed playground, informative signage as well as several lookout locations within the old pump stations.

The park boasts large, open lawn areas, an all-abilities amenity building, a large open-air amphitheatre with sweeping seating walls, a pontoon, along with numerous shaded barbeque and picnic facilities overlooking the riverfront.

A covered sluice drain runs the length of the park which is surrounded by gardens, pedestrian footpaths and a main spine cycle park which connects to the visitor car park.
